In the first collaboration of its kind in the global micromobility sector, eSC is partnering with natural fibre composite specialist Bcomp in the design of the eSkootr racing chassis.
Bcomp has pioneered the development of high performance, sustainable materials across multiple sectors including elite level motorsport. Instead of carbon fibre, Bcomp supplies its proprietary flax derived ampliTex™ technical fabrics reinforced with powerRibs™ for the upcoming championship. Bcomp’s innovative materials combine lightweight with high strength and can reduce the CO2 impact by up to 85% compared to carbon fibre.
Hrag Sarkissian, CEO and Co-Founder of eSkootr Championship said,
“We’re immensely proud to be pioneering the use of natural fibres in micromobility design with our new technical partner, Bcomp.
We share the same commitment to innovation and high levels of technical performance, and the ambition to see the environmental benefits of more sustainable materials cross over from racing to the real world of urban mobility.”
Christian Fischer, CEO and Co-Founder of Bcomp Ltd said,
“The Bcomp team is excited to be part of the inaugural season of eSC racing.”
