The Italian manufacturer will provide tyres for all of the S1-X racing scooters in the championship from 2022.
PMT have been on hand throughout the year at eSC testing in the UK, Italy and France working closely with our technical team and gaining invaluable insights from our test riders. Various compounds have been assessed and refined to produce the final high performance dry and wet weather tyres for our racing. Teams will select their tyres at the start of the race weekend, and use the same ones throughout. All PMT tyres used by the eSC at races will be centrally recycled and used for second life projects.
Sustainability and environmental performance are also dialled into our tyre development roadmap with PMT. As well as the recycling of all our race tyres, work has already started on the development of a natural rubber tyre for the championship, putting environmental performance at the heart of our R&D programme.
