Jessica Howden

South African motorcycle racer Jessica Howden grew up trackside watching her father compete as both a rally and circuit racer. The first time she saw a woman compete and win she decided to become a racer herself. 

She was competing in the Women’s European Cup when eSC recruited her in 2022 where she won her first ever race as an underdog and made history as the first African woman to win a race in Europe. Jess has since continued racing, most recently in the Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship in 2024. 

In eSC’s 2022 season, she competed as a reserve driver but now joins team Pathfinders with Team Principal Hana Basrawi joining forces with another woman who is not afraid to push boundaries and set herself difficult challenges.
