Introducing Ellis Spiezia’s Electric Renegades rider line-up for the 2025 season featuring Luke Hedger, Isis Carreño and Zachary Helsel.
Luke Hedger
Known across the eSC paddock as 'Bushes', Motorbike racer Luke Hedger has won the British Motostar and National Superstock 600 championships back-to-back.
Throughout 2024, he has been racing for CDH racing in the British Superbike Championship for his first ever season in the Superbike class. Previously a reserve rider in the 2022 season, Luke steps up for a full-time position in team in the Electric Renegades for 2024/25.
Isis Carreño
Originally from Viña del Mar in Chile, Isis has been racing speed motorcycles for 12 years, making her start in the Spanish speed championship in 2014 before moving to the Mexican championship from 2017 to 2019. From 2021 to 2023 she raced in the SSP 300 Women’s European Championship. In 2024, she participated in the Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship.
Outside of competitive racing, Isis teaches motorcycle classes back in Chile and studies civil engineering.
Zachary Helsel
Pennsylvania-born Zachary knows the exact moment he fell in love with motorcycles. After being kicked out of Kindergarten as a hyperactive child, he was waiting in the car for his mom only to see a motorcycle booming down the highway doing a wheelie with a Barbie on the back. It was that moment that would dictate the course of the rest of his life.
Embarrassed after taking his first motorcycle to a repair shop and being laughed at for not knowing to remove the wheel, he started Why Not Ride as a resource for all things motorcycles: from repairs, to kit reviews, to tricks and just general entertainment.
With degrees in Finance and Communication, as well as an MBA, he landed a job at Google. He was fired after getting caught riding his bike during a meeting and he took it as a sign to go full-time as a content creator and creative consultant.
