Introducing the Green Journey Racers led by scientist and sustainability advocate Fionn Ferreira featuring Javi Espinosa, Jordan Rand and Aaron Reinig.
Javi Espinosa
Javi Espinosa started his scootering career in his hometown Barcelona where his passion for freestyle led him to join the ScooterXtreme skating team and eventually lead the team. Meanwhile, Javi also studied sports at the European University before being selected to race in the inaugural eSkootr Championship season.
Placing 13th in the eSC in 2022 was a pivotal moment for Javi, opening doors to brand deals and ambassador roles, alongside the opportunity of developing the sport and organizing the first competitive e-scooter race in Spain. At the start of 2023, Javi signed with Ambrosini E-Racing as a test rider, developer and sports coach – taking on technical and mentoring roles alongside racing.
Aaron Reinig
From superfan to eSC rider – Aaron Reinig is proof that following your passions and working hard can help you achieve your dreams. The healthcare professional from Germany has been an eSC fan since 2022 and attended every race in the first season as a spectator. Seeing the S1-X live, he always knew that he wanted to be on the other side of the barrier.
At the final race in Marseille, he became friends with eSC rider – and now teammate – Javi Espinosa who gave him guidance and took on a mentorship role in developing Aaron’s passion and skills to allow him to compete in the French national league.
Jordan Rand
Stepping off the Paris catwalk and onto a Harley-Davidson LiveWire is all in a day’s work for the American athlete-turned-model. Jordan grew up in Colorado Springs, studied psychology in Manhattan and her modelling has taken her around the world. But her passion for sport developed at school, where she would regularly set an alarm for 4 am to practice figure skating before classes started and later switched to track and field at college.
After competing in the inaugural eSC season, she became an advocate for the sport, championing eSC’s accessibility and gender equality values which align with her own activism: “I want to advocate for women, people of colour and, as I’m bisexual, I’m going to race with a rainbow flag on my helmet to advocate for LGBTQ+.”
